Hey Bikemike40, I have a question for you and need some advise. Right now I am commuting on a retro-style single speed cruiser bicycle and love it. But I want to start touring. I don't have much money for a bicycle so I am thinking of buying used. Either an old mountain bike I can modify for touring or an old road bike I can put heavier tires on and modify again for touring. I have thought of the Canadian Tire road bike for $200 but so many people are againsed department store bicycles...but what do you do when yo only have a little money to spend and desperately want to tour?

Thanks for doing such an excellent job on my bikes. I found your ad on kijiji and love the Monty Python link – saw the whole thing on You Tube.
THANKS, BICYCLE-REPAIR-MAN!

I did a tune-up to a pair of Scott bicycles for Cathy.
